JKBOSE to Declare Class 10 Results Across Jammu Kashmir Shortly
SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) on Wednesday said that the results of the annual regular Class 10 examinations will be declared shortly, marking the completion of the evaluation process for more than 94,000 students across Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
Education Minister Sakeena Itoo had earlier said that the government had decided to announce the results of the Class 10 and Class 12 examinations on the same day. She said the evaluation process was completed in the first week of January, but the declaration was delayed due to the late appointment of the JKBOSE chairperson.
More than 94,000 students appeared in the annual regular Class 10 examinations, which commenced on November 3, 2025, in the Kashmir division. The board had set up 994 examination centres across the region to ensure the smooth conduct of the exams.
According to JKBOSE data, 68,804 candidates from ten districts of the Kashmir division and 25,224 students from eight districts of the winter zone areas of the Jammu division were enrolled for the examinations. In addition, at least 660 students from Kargil and 95 from Leh district had also registered for the Class 10 exams.
JKBOSE had announced a 15 per cent relaxation in the syllabus for Classes 10, 11 and 12 due to disruptions to the academic calendar. The board said the decision was taken following recommendations from the Directorate of School Education, Kashmir, the Directorate of School Education, Jammu, and representations from other stakeholders.
In a notification, the Director (Academics) of JKBOSE said that eligible students appearing in the annual regular 2025 examinations were required to attempt 85 per cent of the syllabus, which would be treated as equivalent to 100 per cent marks. The relaxation applied to students in the Kashmir division, the winter zone areas of the Jammu division and the Union Territory of Ladakh, citing the delayed start of the academic session and interruptions caused by heatwaves, torrential rains, cloudbursts and floods.
The board further informed that the results for both classes are ready and awaiting final approval from the result declaration authority. Once approved, the result link will be activated on the official website, allowing students to access their scorecards.
