The MG Hector, due for a mid-cycle refresh, has finally received one. The MG Hector Facelift has finally been launched, and it commands a starting ex-showroom price of Rs. 11.99 lakh (introductory), with bookings starting today. Interestingly, the base price is Rs. 2 lakh lower than the existing version.
Externally, the Hector Facelift gets a revised grille with hexagonal slats, same bumpers, black wheel arch claddings, the same LED headlight and DRL module as its outgoing version, side claddings, and a shark-fin antenna. Internally, the Hector gets new dual-tone Urban Tan interiors, all-new i-Swipe touch-based gesture controls via a 14-inch infotainment screen, wherein a two-finger gesture controls HVAC systems, and a three-finger gesture controls music tracks and volume. There’s digital auto key, proximity lock/unlock, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, horizontal AC vents, Infinity by Harman sound system, and five-, six-, and seven-seat configurations, of which the latter is exclusive to the Hector Plus. The infotainment also gets a VRAM module – expandable up to 10GB.
There are five trims (Style, Select Pro, Smart Pro, Sharp Pro, and Savvy Pro) and seven variants – four five-seater (Style, Select Pro, Smart, and Smart Pro) and three seven-seater (Savvy Pro and Sharp Pro) – across 1.5L turbo MT and 1.5L turbo CVT options. This setup churns out 141bhp/250Nm. Safety-wise, the Hector also gets Level 2 ADAS, six airbags, and a 360-degree camera. All details pertaining to the diesel iteration will be furnished later.
