Tata Sierra Records Strong Response with 70,000 Bookings on Day One
Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles has recorded a strong initial response for the Sierra SUV in the Indian market. The model, which was introduced in November, recently opened bookings and received around 70,000 reservations on the first day. The company has also stated that nearly 1.35 lakh potential buyers have submitted their preferred variants and features as part of the booking process.
The Tata Sierra is priced from ₹11.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
The SUV adopts a boxy design inspired by the original Sierra, combined with contemporary styling updates. It features an upright stance with gloss-black accents linking the LED headlamps and daytime running lights to the Tata logo and Sierra badging. The front fascia is complemented by a skid plate and dual fog lamps integrated into the bumper.
Inside the cabin, the Sierra offers a premium layout highlighted by three digital screens, including a driver display and two infotainment units that support content sharing. The SUV is also equipped with a four-spoke steering wheel, similar to the Tata Curvv, featuring an illuminated Tata logo and touch-based controls.
On the safety front, the Sierra is equipped with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), which include features such as a 360-degree camera, electronic parking brake, blind-spot monitoring, and an electronic stability program with multiple functions. Standard safety equipment also includes six airbags, ISOFIX child seat mounts, seatbelt pretensioners, and three-point seatbelts for all passengers.
